Details of  Upcoming Events at Birmingham Wheels

Next Outdoor Event at Wheels on August 3rd 2008

We will be hosting a race meeting here at Birmingham Wheels Adventure Park on Sunday the 3rd August. Come along and watch some of the fastest skaters in the country racing (distances from 400m-10, 000m) as well as skaters of all ages and abilities. Details for Elite skaters will be published on this site shortly.

You can even have a go yourself in a RAT (non-registered) race! It costs £2 to enter for the day, for which you usually get 2 races, usually a first straight race and then a handicap to even everyone out whatever their ability! These are great fun, so why not give it a try?

To race you need to

Have skates with all their wheels on (!) ie none missing

Fill in a consent form (under 18’s to be signed by parent/guardian)

Pay your money

Wear a crash/bicycle helmet to race

Have fun!

Under 13’s must also wear wristguards, although we would recommend them for all RAT racers who have not raced on a track before. Don’t worry ,we may be able to lend you safety gear if you don‘t have it, but you will need your own skates if you are not already skating with us at Wheels. All racing starts at 12 noon, with registration for skaters 11-11.30am. Some refreshments will be available, and don't forget to buy a raffle ticket or ten!!

Entry is free for spectators
